The German Chocolate Cake w/ White Chocolate Raspberry Frosting


4 oz baker German sweet choc or dark choc morsels- melted
1cup butter
2  cups sugar
4 egg yolks unbeaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
4 egg whites stiffly beaten


Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
Add egg yolks one at a time and beat well after each
Add melted choc and vanilla
Add flour, salt, baking soda alternately with buttermilk to choc mixture
Fold in egg whites

Pour into 3 cake pans greased and floured
Bake at 350 for 30-40 min
Cool
Icing tops only with rasp icing and drizzle with white chocolate
